The month of March is Women’s History month, with International Women’s Day falling on this past March 8th, 2022. To honor that day - and Women’s History Month as a whole - we at Anuket believe in celebrating the resilience, ingenuity and strength of women all around the world. The theme of IWD this year is #BreakTheBias, which asks all of us to, “imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias”.
As we hit this Two Year Anniversary Milestone, I am filled with both gratitude and excitement. I’m grateful for YOU and our incredible community. These last two years have been a labor of love and an example of my unwavering commitment to providing luxury fragrance at an accessible price while pushing the envelope and continuing to develop and grow Anuket Luxury Apothecary into the household name that I know it can be. I can’t wait to show you what is next!

Having Anuket Luxury Apothecary has afforded me the opportunity to host at several markets and, totally tooting my own horn here, we always get the best compliments on our booth and branding. Putting together eye catching market booths that draw in business and make my time at a vendor event worthwhile is honestly kind of fun for me. So, I thought I’d love sharing my tips and tricks for a successful market booth here with you as well!
If you’re here, you might be a little like me, and have come to a point in your life where the typical 9-5 type of job just isn't the lifestyle for you. There is something about it that becomes so mundane and exhausting for us who have more of a creative, entrepreneurial mindset. I think we tend to get caught up in the day to day and working up the corporate ladder to be successful, that we forget about all these amazing opportunities out there for small businesses, all these chances to really do something we love.
Inspired by the fresh start of Spring, the Anuket x James & Jezebelle Demi-Fine Jewelry Capsule Collection is beautifully minimal yet perfectly balanced. The clean and crisp designs throughout the capsule are reminiscent of our signature fragrance, Papyrus oil. Even the stones and crystals selected are known for their high vibration, cleansing abilities, and the power to support us through change.
Women’s History Month is not over and I am still LOVING this topic. I meant what I said about taking every possible opportunity to uplift, empower, and promote all women. Today I’m going to share a few of my favorite woman owned businesses with you. There are so many to choose from so I started with just a few favorites but we’ll continue providing many more recommendations in the future. One thing about me is that I love to share my favorites… so, I’d like to take the opportunity to highlight some modern day women-in-business powerhouses that I admire, support, and aspire to be like!
Naming most things is usually done with great intention. Anuket Luxury Apothecary is no exception. I wanted a name that would capture the rich quality of our products, connect the rich history of where they came from, and nod to the fact that we are a woman owned business. As a woman and founder of this business, I feel both extremely proud of what we have created here, and a tremendous desire to uplift and highlight incredible women. That being said, Anuket couldn’t have possibly been more appropriate.
As the founder of a fragrance company I would be remiss not to highlight a few of my favorite influential women in fragrance and beauty history. Women like Cleopatra, Coco Chanel, Madam CJ Walker, as well as other influential business women helped to pave the way for our modern day fragrance and beauty industry.
There’s no question that 2020 was a doozy. Unfortunately, in some way or another, I don’t think anyone escaped the effects of 2020. My heart sincerely goes out to those of you who experienced loss of any kind. It has not been lost on me each day how lucky I am to wake up and do what I love here at Anuket Luxury Apothecary, for another day. Despite the hardships of the year, I hung on tightly to the stories of hope, success, and phoenixes rising from the ashes of one of the wildest years in modern history. While it’s so important to acknowledge where we came from and what we’ve been through, I’m a big believer in keeping my eyes ahead and putting one foot in front of the other. This is how I’ve gotten through so many things in my life. This is how so many of us got through 2020. Those little steps add up and I give them so much credit for where I am today. Before we dive headfirst into the New Year, I’d love to celebrate the wins that we pulled out of 2020. Who better to do that with than each of you!?
