If you’re familiar with Anuket Luxury Apothecary, it’s likely that you’ve at least heard of our signature product, Pure Papyrus Roll-On Fragrance. At Anuket we are proud to be one of the only sources of pure papyrus oil in the US. This versatile oil is a fan favorite that never disappoints and has a myriad of uses. Not only is it our number one selling product alone, but it’s an ingredient in a few of our other best selling products like our hydrating hair fragrance, our deep conditioning beard oil, and our hand sanitizer.
What is Pure Papyrus Roll-On Fragrance?
Our flagship product, Pure Papyrus Roll-On Fragrance, is a single-ingredient essential oil that is worn as a personal fragrance on the skin like a cologne or perfume. Because of its universally appealing scent, it is great for all genders, and because it is a pure fragrance oil, it will linger on your skin all day long.
Used for thousands of years by the Egyptians as a fragrance, this crisp, clean scent will quickly become your new favorite. It is a rare and universally flattering scent that can be worn alone or layered with other complimentary fragrances. It was believed that Cleopatra herself also wore a form of papyrus oil as part of her beauty regimen.

How is it made?
Papyrus oil is the oil obtained from the Cyperus Papyrus plant, which grows along the lush banks of the Nile River in Egypt. The plant itself was historically used widely in everyday life in Egypt for centuries, including things such as baskets, sandals, reed boats, and most notably as a form of paper writing material.
As a fragrance, papyrus oil is a pure essential oil that is extracted through a cold-press method. This method is widely used and well known for maintaining the integrity and quality of the properties in an oil. Other methods, especially those involving heat, can damage the molecules in oils, reducing or altering the potency, fragrance, or benefits of the oils.
In most cases, cold pressing is done with not only pressure but the use of centrifugal force that helps to spin the oil away from plant pulp and debris. The oil that is expelled due to pressure is then spun outward away from the pulp and fibers of its plant and collected for further filtering to remove the final debris.
This process ensures a pure, safe, single source, beautifully scented oil that meets the high quality standards we have for our products. The result is a clean oil with the full integrity of the scent, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and more, still intact and ready for use!

Our Roll-On Fragrance comes with a convenient stainless steel rollerball to easily apply your papyrus oil directly to the skin in the areas where you would normally apply fragrance.

as a base fragrance layer
For a more complex fragrance experience, use our pure papyrus oil as a base for an additional bright, clean fragrance to be layered on top. Papyrus oil can also be rolled or dropped onto porous stones in jewelry for those who would like to layer up to increase the wear of their scent or for those who are sensitive to fragrance on their skin and would like to wear it in a way that works for them.
